Vicente Júnior

5th Degree Black Belt · Under Ricardo De La Riva

Professor Luiz Vicente Júnior's path to jiu-jitsu began in Judo — a discipline he started at fourteen and pursued for six years, reaching Brown Belt. When he eventually crossed over to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, his commitment deepened further, often training two to three times a day. That dedication earned him a 5th Degree Black Belt under the legendary Ricardo De La Riva.

As co-founder of BJJ Conquest in Maryland, Vicente Júnior remains one of the most active competitors in the Master's division. His championship lineage and relentless competitive spirit now reach Rochester through his affiliation with Athletics Grappling Arts.
